What a surprise! I have won an award from time-worn interiors. I am so new at this; now I am really encouraged. You are supposed to tell six things about yourself and pass them along to 6 other bloggers so here goes!
I am a born-again Christian and love my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is first in my life and next is my husband and family. That rings positive with my husband because he is a believer too. I love to see Jesus in other people, and the hand of God in the lives of others.
I have a wonderful husband who is very encouraging when it comes to me doing my thing with creativity (as long as he doesn't have to unload the trailer every time I get a brainstorm). Actually he is quite good with that too. He is my best friend.
Between us we have 4 grown children and 7 grandchildren.
It is great to keep up with my kids and their spouses and the grandkids. We enjoy texting each other. I send long texts and my oldest grandson sends me 3 words back for an answer. After I read between the lines, I know what his answer means! His mom and I laugh about it. I have grandchildren in Indianapolis, Leitchfield, Ky, and Hana, Hi. Needless to say, I get to see some of them more than others, and I often wish I could see them all the same. I enjoy taking them hunting and horsebackriding.
I love collecting, everything! My favorite collections are blue swirl graniteware ( which I display in my kitchen) and antique white ironstone. My aunt collected ironstone and I always admired it growing up. When she passed away, I was able to buy a few pieces from her estate. They are treasures among numerous other pieces.
I still love to paint. I painted commissions for so many years. Now I just enjoy painting what I want when I want. My current work is a large oil of our Jack Russells and Lab laying in front of the kitchen fireplace, where it will hang...eventually.
I treasure my friendships. It is wonderful having old and new friends, friends who enjoy different things, friends who like antiquing, friends who will go trailriding, friends who have no time lapse even when you haven't seen them in ages.
You must show us pictures of your collections and some of your paintings. Blogger love to see that stuff.
